Framing 

All of the framing that we use is dry graded and strength rated to a minimum C16.

We cautiously inspect each length of framing before use to ensure a high quality product.

PEFC – FSE

All of the buildings made at our Staffordshire manufacturing facility are produced using timber that is certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council. We are committed to the correct environmental, sustainable and socially beneficial harvesting of the timber we use.

Tanalised timber has been pressure treated with Tanalith wood preservative. Tanalised timber has the ultimate long term protection against wood decay and insect attack.

The latest Tanalith wood preservative, a unique combination of copper and organic biocide ingredients, now has over 20 years of proven performance around the world in providing the very best protection for timber. Its unique formulation has been extensively tested in the field and proven in practice.

TANALITH wood preservative is registered and approved under the Biocidal Product Regulation EU 528/2012 (BPR), with UK approval number UK-0007721-0000. TANALITH treated timber was risk assessed and found to be acceptable for human, animal, and environmental health. The European Union has one of the most stringent risk assessment procedures in the world, and TANALITH was successfully risk assessed against all these criteria and found to have met the high standards required for use in the industrial preservative treatment of timber.

After Care 

It is important to keep your Garden Building clear from leaves and subsiding soil that may build up around the bottom of the building. Make sure nothing rests against the building allowing the timber to breathe continuously. 

Although the timber has been tanalised, it is still a requirement for the timber to be treated further.

To maintain a dry Garden Building, a water repelling agent is a must have. Stoping the timber from soaking up moisture from rainfall and preventing Wet Rot from forming. 

UV Radiation from the sun is also harmful to timber, causing Board warping, cracking and cupping. UV light sealer is high on the list of after-care for garden buildings to maintain good healthy timber.
